Andy began his finance career in 1989, as spreadsheets and desktop computing were changing the working day. Over more than 35 years in the global food industry, he progressed from trainee accountant to Finance Director, CFO and Managing Director, working across the UK, Europe and Asia.
His experience spans manufacturing operations, commercial finance, group leadership, funding, acquisitions and business sales — across family-owned, private equity-backed and listed businesses. It brings a practical understanding of how decisions in the boardroom play out on the factory floor.
Technology has been a constant thread: from developing reporting and business intelligence to leading ERP implementation, and more recently using AI tools to improve financial reporting and model review. The principle remains the same: better information, stronger judgement and more time for the work that matters.
